SEO Services: Different Aspects

It's not easy to find a good SEO company today. Over the past decade, SEO services have had a bad name. The high demand for people desperate to rank in search has led companies to start they don't understand anything about search optimization.

In fact, it's not uncommon to see a company charge £100 to appear on Google Places: something that's free and easy to do. In reverse order, here are the ugly, bad, and good sides of SEO services:

The Ugly One

This isn't nice. They are black hat SEOs that provide services that can get you expelled from Google. This can be anything from hiding text links to moving and positioning content off the page (so users can't find it, but Search Bots do).

Stay away from these ugly techniques as they tend to be a short-term solution that could put you in a long-term SEO nightmare.

The Bad Guy

These guys are just bad. They will guarantee a number one place for a search term that does not receive traffic. They'll charge money to include it in free directories like Dmoz.org or Google Places.

Surprise these guys by looking at their portfolio. Find the keywords that have sorted your customers, and then use the Google AdWords Keyword Tool to find the 'exact' search volume.

The Good

Of course, we all want a good SEO service. However, because they are so rare and few and far between, prices also match! You can identify a good SEO company by looking at your wallet and finding truly shocking keywords that have been ranked in the first place.

Of course, you may want to do a background check just to see how much impact that company had, but you can be pretty sure it's worth it.

To get the best price and service, use a newly created SEO company with a small portfolio that you're trying to get your door to the door. Meet in person and make sure they know what they're talking about too!
